No Barolo! - October 2026 Vineataly Dalkeith

Firstly, I love Barolo. It’s one of the greatest wines in the world, and with some age can hit stratospheric heights

However every Italian wine dinner is always the same thing – Barolo, Barbaresco, Brunello and Chianti.

So for this we are going to explore some of the best, and most expensive, Italian wines I can find. But No Barolo!

We’ll have bubbles that rival the Grand Cru’s of Champagne. Mt Etna wines with energy and depth that will challenge your love of Burgundy.

And perhaps most important…

We will have two bottles from the late, great Emidio Pepe who recently past. He is one of the greatest winemakers in Italy and will be a pleasure to tell his story
